INSPIRATION: Chocolate Bedroom
I found this picture on the Country Living website the other night and I’ve had it on my computer for three days. For three mornings I have woken and wondered what it would be like to wake up in a CHOCOLATE BEDROOM. With all that wondering I figured I might as well put it up for all to see…
Have you ever painted a room chocolate brown?? Do you think it would feel dingy after a few weeks?? Should there be a CRYSTAL chandelier abve the bed, or an ANTLER chandelier, or maybe something ENTIRELY DIFFERENT??
Just a few of the questions rolling through my head when I’m avoiding real life questions like, “what the hell am I going to make for dinner??”

I painted my 2yr old daughter’s room dark chocolate, and I LOVE it!! It’s accessorized with hot pink but this way I can rearrange kids and rooms and not have to repaint! (And it hides the crayon marks!) I totally recommend chocolate…but then again I’m the type who painted the baby room burnt orange…

My whole house is in chocolate, cream, silver with a splash of teal! I even have walls and a ceiling done in vintage tin chocolate tiles. Love it. Don’t think I could do an entire room in chocolate but the color is very soothing when you live in the deep south of hot humid days. Xo deb

Several years ago, I painted our master bedroom a deep metallic bronze that is a Ralph Lauren metallic. It has a soft metallic sheen that is wonderful with the trim, including baseboards and crown moldings painted a semigloss, dark expresso. The ceiling is an antique brass that is also from the same line. We live in Texas, so have to have a ceiling fan, but it has a great old world look as well. We have a lot of neoclassic accessories and multilayers of Salmon to Brick and Olive and Gold linens on the upholstery and bed. We have never tired of it, and everything looks great against this kind of dramatic background. It’s not exactly chocolate, but sort of. More old world, but kind of modern too.
