I’ve decided I want to get a record player for the shop. We already sell some vintage vinyl. How fun would it be to have a record player & let people choose their own tunes while shopping the shop. This will be one of the first records in our supply WHEN we get the record player.

I am in love with this T Shirt from Double D Ranch!! Cupid would be doing really, really good with this one. It’s from SPRING 2012 so it’s not quite available yet. But it will be soon, before the end of the month. Cupid can just give a picture of the tee, then the real thing will be delivered later. It’s like getting a happy gift twice.

My favorite time of day is night time, after the boys have taken a shower & they’re all squeaky clean with fresh pjs & tired eyes. That’s when they are all finally calm & relaxed and we can all pile up on the sofa & read or watch a movie together. Those ‘duddles’ {aka, snuggles} are the most precious times on earth. These matching pjs are too cute and just the thing for duddlin’ with your truest valentines, your babies.

I never think of myself as an “environmentalist”, but in the last year I have definitely become much more aware of reducing waste & doing my little part to Re-Cycle * Re-Purpose & Re-LOVE. We have started recycling at home & the shop, shopping at Good Will & other thrift stores before we run off and buy something brand new…
At the shop we also use bags made from recycled paper, and all of our packing materials are boxes, newspaper, peanuts & other materials salvaged from our neighbors on Main Street & the recycle bins. {it’s AMAZING how many people throw away perfectly good packing materials, I can’t wait to dumpster dive in the recycle bins the week after Christmas!!}
And I have also become so accustomed to using shopper bags at the grocery store, that the local grocery in Weston MO, questions me when I forget them. I particularly love these shopper bags from Blue Q. I’m hoping to start carrying them in the shop after the new year. In the meantime, here are a few to pick from.

In the past year we’ve covered Decorating with COWHIDES and Decorating with HORNS & ANTLERS, but today I’m sorting through items that are a little more subtle in their Rustic * Western style, that is those made with horns… First and foremost is the tile in the image {above} from Rex Ceramiche that simulates the warm tones & exotic nature of natural horn. Exquisite!!
But tile is, of course, a big investment. There are smaller ways to incorporate the organic nature of horn into your home…
