Here at Rustic Wedding Chic we spend all of our time pouring over beautiful rustic and country weddings. We love country wedding dresses, rustic inspiration and real weddings but for me one of my favorite thing to feature is rustic wedding invitations. A wedding invitation is just as important as the dress, venue or menu because it informs your guest as to what type of wedding they will be attending. The days of brides having limited options are gone and brides are choosing an invitation that is special, beautiful and unique to their wedding.

There is nothing sweeter to recieve than a hand written letter, thank you note or old fashioned invitation. Especially when they are written are pretty papers that are eco-friendly to boot. Today I came across Poppies for Grace, a stationary business located in Australia where pretty papers, invites and note cards are the bread and butter.

Are you a CRAFTY CHICA??

I’m not known for my crafting skills and I am at a point in my life that I’m ok with that…. after all there are so many people that are really good at crafting. Take the obvious Martha Stewart for example, and every person who sells something on Etsy, and of course the Crafty Chica.

For those of you who aren’t familiar {once again, I’m pretty sure I was the last to find her}, the Crafty Chica is Kathy Cano-Murliio, an artist, author, Latino-inspired, glitter obsessed “crafter” who is inspiring people everywhere to go outside of their comfort zone and create something new and different and totally liberating.

If I was a crafter I’m pretty sure I’d be doin’ it Crafty Chica style. Check her website HERE… and her awesome selection of goods BELOW.

The Crafty Chica even has her own line of Craft supplies… I’m thinking that a couple of books & some supplies, put together in a hip hot pink or orange basket, would make a great gift for your girls!!

I first became familiar with Derek & Lauren, proprietors of the Curiosity Shoppe, through their weekly DIY projects at Design Sponge ~ after spending some time on their website I knew that their clever assortment would be fun to share here at CactusCreekDaily…

I hope that everyone had a Very Merry Christmas that was full of love, laughter and the blessings that the Christmas season brings…

During my Merry day my little Sister-in-Law mentioned that she loved scrapbooking and craft projects but being young and newly married she doesn’t have a big supply of the necesseties involved for such endeavors.
