Howdy KC… Don’t miss the 10 Mile Trail of Antiques!!
I spent the day setting up a little space for a big show happening this weekend… it’s the Weston 10 Mile Trail ~ Antique & Garden Show. While I don’t do them often I always love to display at shows like this one… It’s a great way to get the creative juices going, meet new people, and of course, sell a few things.
The Weston 10 Mile Trail, brain child of my dear friend, Marilyn Lindahl, is a new event for Weston this year. {Weston is the beautiful little town just north of Kansas City that I call home.} The ‘Trail’ is actually a ‘progressive’ Antique & Garden Show that unfolds over a 10 mile path with vendors setting up at four specific locations in and around Weston: Red Barn Farm, Locust Grove Antiques & Interiors, Downtown Weston, and Riverwood Winery.
Cactus Creek’s little selling space is outside of my favorite furniture store in Weston, Locust Grove Antiques & Interiors.

Since it’s conception in 1997 Locust Grove has established a distinctive style that appeals to wide range of interiors. Kate Parsons and Christy Shafer, the mother-daughter team behind Locust Grove, combine elegant furniture, ancient Turkish pots and rugs, fine antiques and rustic accessories to create one of the most charming stores I know.
As for this weekend, Cactus Creek will be situated under Locust Grove’s 200 year old Chinese Elm Tree selling our usual fun fare of Rustic*Western*Vintage home decor. I seem to have accumulated quite a few vintage branding irons, iron lamps with rawhide shades, and LOADS of cowhides!!

If you are in the Kansas City area this Friday or Saturday then come on up to Weston and enjoy the shopping, dining, and of course, the beautiful drive!! Summer is almost over and I bet you are due for a day-trip {wink, wink}. {One more pic of Locust Grove BELOW}
