CACTUS CREEK STUDIO: Wallpaper * Lights * Blinds
Last week I shared Cactus Creek’s newest endeavor: our new Design Studio in Weston, MO {just 15 minutes North of Kansas City}. I’m still not sure when we will get the keys but I went ahead and ordered WALLPAPER this weekend. I also picked out PAINT, bought LIGHTS, and chose BLINDS…

For wallpaper I ended up choosing the Barn Wood and Stone prints {ABOVE}. They are textured papers from the Sunworthy Surface Illusions book. The wallpaper will only be on two walls, just enough to infuse a great Rustic vibe into the space… you can get a better view {and place an order for your paper!!} right HERE.
Last week I mentioned the Sua Lighting. It is so lovely but I just couldn’t pull the trigger after I found out the price. Instead I decided to go a little more “urban farmhouse” and I chose a brushed steel lamp {LEFT}. I think it looks like a light that would be in an old barn or workshop, AND the price was significantly less… I can always upgrade the lighting if I ever feel the need to do so. I’m also going to try adding the light bulb guards {BELOW} for an even more rugged effect.
There are two windows that need new blinds so I went with simple woven wood shades. I chose the blinds {BELOW} because the texture reminded me of burlap {another of my favorite materials}.
I can’t wait to put it all together!! Stay tuned for LOTS of pictures, plus news of our FIRST EVENT!!
