INSPIRATION: *low cost* LOG ROOM
Just because the economy is in the DULDRUMS doesn’t mean you can’t have a TOTALLY HIP Western * Rustic * Vintage room!!
Real deal cowgirls would rather spend their money on HOT NEW Boots and prop them on a TOTE as a coffee table, versus buying new furniture. That’s cool, I get it… but you might be able to buy both. Here is a little INSPIRATION…

You really can have a look this FINE, without spending too much money!! Here are some BUDGET~friendly ideas…

Log Wallpaper from Wallpaper Connection
Building a LOG CABIN is a divine dream but while we’re all sitting on the fence waiting for the economy to turn, adding some LOG WALLPAPER to the walls will give you the feel without breaking the bank. At $30/roll you can cover at least one wall in a room with this RUSTIC wallpaper, then paint the other walls a woodsy brown or biscuit color.

American Living Bedding
I have been very impressed by the American Living line now offered at JC Penney. It’s Ralph Lauren feel is right on with the Rustic * Vintage vibe we LOVE. The warm look of the the American Living Bedding {ABOVE} is a easy twist on the bedding in our INSPIRATION room, and also priced fairly. For an even cozier look add a rustic pillow like the Judi Boisson Horseshoe Pillow {BELOW}.
The picture on the LOG WALL in the INSPIRATION room looks to be vintage. You can find some great vintage art at flea markets, antique stores, and even garage sales,
for not a lot of money… {Sometimes re~framing is in order to make an older piece POP.}

Another option is looking at Art.com which is where the image above was found. Art.com has an unbelievable selection and they offer great online specials. For example, this week they are offering FREE SHIPPING through Wednesday, use code: FS9SALE.

Small Cowhide Box
Because the DETAILS matter… this treasure box is a key component to re~creating our INSPIRATION room.

Liden Side Table from Ikea
One of the first pieces of furniture I ever bought with my own money was a dining table, similar in style to this table, from Ikea. I studied my way through college on that table, made scrapbooks there after a 10 day trip to Paris, have had romantic dinners there, and now I use that table as a changing station for my third baby. I’m guessing one day that it will go off to college with one of my boys…
So, yeah, it’s been a good investment.
This small side table from Ikea is simple and classic, easy to paint, or leave it alone to wear life’s patina.
For $29.99 you can’t go wrong.

Red Iron Bed
One more item for you… This BRIGHT RED BED is only $275. If you only buy the headboard then you’re only looking at $150. An iron bed like this one is classic ~ it will last forever making it a great investment!!
