Not long ago a friend sent me a link to Kravet Fabric’s MUSEUM OF NEW MEXICO Collection. The fabrics are stunning and as I sat down today to write about them I found much more from the Museum of New Mexico…

In 1998 the Museum of New Mexico Foundation {a non-profit organization dedicated to four museums and six historical state monuments in New Mexico} established a licensing program “to generate essential revenues to help support acquisitions, exhibition development, and educational outreach programs at the Museum of New Mexico”.

The result is multiple lines of home furnishings from different manufacturers across the country. From fabric ~ to sofas ~ to lamps, each of these manufacturers has taken inspiration from the archives of the Museum and brings together the influences of the many cultures that makes New Mexico so diverse.

It is the melting of these cultures ~ Spanish, Italian, Asian, Rustic Frontier and Americana, that combine to create the style we LOVE and represents each of us in some way.

NOTE: All of these companies are manufacturers, not retailers. I have provided LINKS to locating the retail store near you that carries these lines. You can also visit the ONLINE SHOP for the Museum of New Mexico Foundation.
