Our first Featured Store - Will Wyatt’s Cowboy Couture
According to Webster’s Dictionary COUTURE is defined as the houses or designers that create exclusive and often trend-setting fashions for women. When it comes to Cowboy fashion, whether for the home or the body, this defines Will Wyatt’s Cowboy Couture to a T!!
The owners of Will Wyatt’s, husband and wife team Bryden and Jennifer Becker, were tired of big city life {New York} and ready to find a new home on the range. After considering all of the options, they settled on opening a retail store where they would offer the unique comfort, adventure and joy that is found in the style of today’s Ranch Decor.
Based in Overland Park, Kansas, Will Wyatt’s has been setting new trends in the Kansas City area for over two years and has gained a reputation of the being the go-to place for high end Cowboy fashion - a niche not previously filled in the original cow-town of the Midwest.
Bryden and Jennifer, parents of three little cowpokes of their own, started with clothes, boots and hats from high-end Western designers. Soon the couple began to seek a warmer experience for their customers and they added furniture and home accessories so that clients would have a comfortable place to sit and stay a while.
Customers loved the addition of home goods to Will Wyatt’s and now the store offers an even mix of both high fashion Western wear and GORGEOUS furniture. Some of the brands included in the mix are Double D Ranchwear, Tasha Polizzi, Coreen Cordova, and Old Gringo. Sources also include local Kansas City artists and small work shops where desks like the one {BELOW} are hand made, each etching of the tooled leather still done by hand.
If you are looking to furnish a whole room (or even a house) Jennifer is glad to help you with the decorating. Back in New York she worked as a designer and offers her services to the store’s clients, often as a courtesy. Jennifer also shared news of upcoming trunk shows that you’ll want to know about {Double D Ranchwear and Coreen Cordova!!} - I’ll be sure to let you know when the final dates are scheduled so that you can plan a Road Trip!!
While Jennifer is the creative side of decorating and ad design, Bryden heads up the website portion of the business where merchandise is being added daily. Bryden and Jennifer want their clients to come in and hang their hats for a while, visit and ‘have a laugh or two’. In fact, according to Bryden, “No piece of furniture is allowed in the building unless it is a comfy place to sit.” Bryden and Jennifer Becker are not just selling clothes and furniture at Will Wyatt’s Cowboy Couture - they are selling an experience. Mary, Will Wyatt’s doesn’t have mail-order catalogs but they do have a lot of their merchandise on line, and they are adding more regularly!!
