Round Top COUNTDOWN {Spring 10}: Royer’s Cafe
It’s the STUFFED QUAIL that I go for at Royer’s Round Top Cafe. And the CHUNKY CHICKEN SALAD is also delish. And then there’s the BLT… and of course the PIE…
Just two more weeks and we’ll be in the heart of Round Top Antique Week. One of my favorite parts of Antique Week is the free-for-all when it comes to food and drink. The No.1 place to experience the edible pleasures of Round Top is at Royer’s Round Top Cafe. The interior is covered in ephemera collected over the last twenty years by the Royer family. The exterior features a few benches, a cooler with beer that you drink on the honor system, and usually Bud Royer perched on his stool making sweet talk with anyone looking for a spectacular meal.
