ROUND TOP {Fall 08}: Big Red Barn
Our first full day at Round Top Antique Week began at the Big Red Barn. Once owned by Emma Lee Turney {the esteemed Texas Woman who started Round Top Antique Week over 40 years ago}, the Big Red Barn was a venue dedicated to premiere dealers.
The Big Red Barn venue featured a huge metal BARN {see image BELOW}, plus two HUGE tents that were filled with European Antiques {lovely, but not our style}. The BARN, however, was full of Americana antiques that you would have LOVED!!!
The coup for our morning at the Big Red Barn was meeting the great Mary Emmerling {my personal design icon} and scoring a signed copy of her fabulous new book, Mary Emmerling’s Beach Cottage
In this book Emmerling has once again offered a source of inspirational designs and ideas for your Rustic * Vintage home. Some with a nautical twist, even a little shabby, all completely fabulous!! I would expect no less…
