INSPIRATION: Vintage Spanish Dining Room
Every June Architectural Digest publishes their issue dedicated to American Country Houses. I usually end up tearing out most of the images from this issue for my Book of Inspiration. This weekend I came across this beauty… a gorgeous dining nook, a great INSPIRATION photo as we start to think about the family dinners on the Holiday Horizon.

Start with the anchor every room needs ~ a STUNNING CHANDELIER. Here are a few of the reasons I love investing in lighting…
- Stunning lighting doesn’t have to be expensive. Last Spring I wrote about Stunning Sources of Light for UNDER $500. Often you can find great chandeliers for even less if you check your local hardware stores or lighting stores ~ be sure to check out their “Display Sales”!!
- You can take it with you. Renting ~ Moving soon?? Lighting isn’t permanent and it’s easy to move when you’re ready for a new abode. {Be sure to hire a professional electrician for hanging & moving lighting!!}
- Make a statement anywhere. Bathrooms, Laundry Rooms, Hallways… No longer relegated to the Dining Room, chandeliers can transform a well-used space from blah to unexpected.
The Spanish inspiration and Vintage textures of this chandelier will drop jaws and set the pace for a beautiful space.

Another great idea from our Vintage Spanish Dining Room, these Southwest Baskets are beautiful interpretations of the real thing. At only $9 a piece, grouping 9 of them adds character to a big, empty wall for less than $100. If, however, you are in the market for the real thing, you can find amazing authentic
Native American Baskets HERE.
Rich wood, curved lines and functional styling make the Barroco Dining Table an ideal OLD WORLD look for any style home. Available in 5 sizes and 10 finishes, ITZA Galerias offers many options in their line of Hand-Crafted furniture with Old World style.
For every fine dining table their must be fine chairs… The rugged nail heads, smooth leather and intoxicating curves make these Spanish Heritage Chairs the perfect fit for our INSPIRATION room.
NOTE: Be sure to consider color & finish if you order your table from a different company than your chairs!! Either order one first, and the second to compliment the finish; or order the whole dining set from one manufacturer.

Talavera plates are a colorful way to top off the Rustic, Old World look of the VINTAGE SPANISH DINING ROOM. La Fuente Imports offers an exceptional selection of Talavera Pottery that is microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe. I have had a long love affair with the complex patterns, stunning colors and versatility of Talavera. Whether having an outdoor soiree, or coupling this dinnerware with funky crystal, Talavera sets the tone for your table, your china cabinet, and your style.

Absolutely beautiful set up. I especially like the dining room chairs and chandelier.
