Without question Pottery Barn’s famous walls of black & white photography have influenced the trend to pair common photos with mismatched frames.  Whether you have a simple photo of a child in an over-sized frame, or a dozen photos spanning a 12 foot wall, photography is a classic option for bringing character and charm to an otherwise big, bland space.   

I would love to have a private collection of images from my favorite photographer, but our strict, ‘family-of-5′ budget won’t allow for such indulgences.  The next best source of images with a Rustic * Western * Vintage vibe is from books and magazines {and calendars!!}.  Here are just a few of the many sources that will provide you with a plentiful supply of images for switching out whenever you choose…

When the Hubby and I were first married we lived with his parents for a while in their KC home.  It was a big house with a large circular drive.  It always seemed like something was missing - a large sculpture was needed to go in the center of that circular drive.  They moved out several years ago but today I found the perfect thing for the front of that house!!

Using Metal, Wire and even BARBED WIRE, Bernie creates beautiful sculptures.  The detail is extraordinary and they may be custom ordered – perfect for mascots or landmarks {and CIRCULAR DRIVES}!!

A pioneer in the use of barbed wire as a medium for sculpture, Bernie Jestrabek-Hart has become known for creating life-size sculptures like the one {BELOW}.

For a one-of-a-kind gift I love the small sculptures like the horse {BELOW}.

What a pleasure to meet the artist team Brad and Sundie Ruppert of Vintage Sculpture!!  One of my favorite decorating clients has a piece of theirs and it is her pride and joy.  Now that I have met the artist and witnessed the heart and soul of the collection, I have even more appreciation for the piece. 

Both original and clever, Vintage Sculpture’s approach to the laugh*dance*love prose that has conceived a new generation of gypsies is in full swing in this vibrant collection.  Sue Whitney, co-author of Junk Beautiful, crowned Vintage Sculpture ”Best in Show – Recycling” at Marburger Farm.  For me Vintage Sculpture typifies the Rustic * Western * Vintage vibe that we LOVE.  Check it all out at VintageSculpture.com    .
